Calgary's Security Professionals Delivering Trusted Alarm, Surveillance, and Monitoring Solutions since 1983.
With the clocks having changed (or rather not changing) and colder weather settling in, it's a good time to check a few things around your security system. Depending on your system, a quick time check may be needed:
First Alert / Honeywell: The security panel and Total Connect need to be updated separately.
Total Connect 2.0: Administrator or master users can verify or update their location and time zone by logging into the Total Connect app or website. Navigate to Locations or My Location, select the correct time zone UTC-06:00 Saskatchewan, and save your changes. Please note that the security panel must be updated separately.
Honeywell Panels & Hardware: Many internet-connected devices update automatically. However, some legacy standalone panels or systems may require the internal clock and date to be manually adjusted. To update your panel, please contact the AE office or refer to your system manual.
DSC: Many internet-connected devices update automatically. However, some legacy panels or systems may require the internal clock and date to be manually adjusted. To update your panel, please contact the AE office or refer to your system manual.
Alarm.com: The time change update should already have been pushed through automatically. If your system is still showing the incorrect time, please contact our office.
Looking for your system's user manual? We've made them easy to find on our website: Security System User Manuals.
Brivo Access Control: Time zone settings can be adjusted through your Brivo portal. Log in and follow the steps below, or contact our office if you need assistance.
Not sure what applies to your system? We're happy to help!
